Congratulations to Jim Paulos and Candace Woodson at Tesoro High School for being the October WebStore of the month. This duo of Activities Advisor and Activities Clerk have worked together to make their WebStore a huge success at their school. In October, they used their store to collect donations for their Tesoro Tech program and have raised over $4,000 in online donations. They also used their store for their Homecoming Dance ticket sales. Here’s what Jim has to say about his WebStore experiences thus far:
Main Benefits:
“Our ActiveEducate WebStore has been a strong, tangible tool that we’ve utilized throughout the year to help deliver our Tesoro High School brand to our local community. Our community was asking for the option to pay by credit card for certain school events and items and now we are able to meet their needs and increase school awareness.”
“I did not fully realize the potential of our WebStore until a unique opportunity presented itself months ago. After sending my ActiveEducate contact, Julie Halladay, roses to celebrate the great success of our WebStore during our school's 2009 registration, a revelation was realized. I found comparisons to the roses and our WebStore. Both the roses and WebStore provide a gratifying overall experience to the end user and both enhance the end user's perception of the message that is trying to be delivered. What are the differences you ask? Unlike the roses, your ActiveEducate WebStore will never die, wilt, or fade away — it will be working for you 24/7 in order to get the attention of your target audience while doing so with tact, class and respectability.”
Building Awareness:
“In 2008, we were able to win an online domain name auction to secure the web address TesoroShop.com which we had strived to get since our school first opened. This investment has allowed us to not only promote the stand alone WebStore but rather gave us the opportunity to develop a brand name on and amongst our campus. Instead of saying, "Go online to buy at the WebStore" our students, parents and staff just refer to it as "TesoroShop or TesoroShop.com." This brand is pushed online via our other websites, on the school's marquee, our school's news broadcasts and during school–wide presentations such as Freshmen Orientation and Back To School night.”
WebStore Potential:
“Everything from transportation fees, testing, tickets, donations and spirit items have been added to our WebStore. We are always in the process of expanding our product base. Make sure you are getting the most out of your investment when it comes to using the WebStore. There are many hidden features and possibilities that are just waiting to be tapped into. Make sure that your WebStore and roses count!”

Holiday support schedule
 |
|
Technical phone support will be taking a break this Thanksgiving, and only limited emergency support will be available on Thanksgiving Day (November 26) and the day after (November 27). Our normal business hours will resume on Monday, November 30, 2009.
Our offices will also be closed from December 21, 2009 – January 1, 2010. For emergency support, customers may call the same regular support line at 1.888.490.1555 and you will be given an option to reach emergency support. Selecting that option will forward you to our answering service, which then contacts one of our staff on-call.
Additionally, the ActiveEducate Account Management offices will be closed over the Thanksgiving weekend, and will be closing for the holidays December 21, 2009, through January 1, 2010. Please contact your Account Manager with any time-sensitive issues before December 18, 2009.
If you have any feedback on your Technical Support experience, your wait-time, or our new support queues, please email Support.BlueBear@activenetwork.com.
