  • Relieves administrators from handling daily transactions
If you are an existing customer and haven't upgraded your WebStore yet, please contact Julie Halladay before March 31st and she will be in touch to help you with setup.

Erick's WebStory: How was the upgrade process?
We here at WUHSD are very excited about the functionality of the new Bluebear WebStores. The students & parents have already complimented us on the new designs, they enjoy having pictures of the products they are purchasing, among other things. The updating of items available online is a breeze and the new picture uploading feature is integrated into Tracks, so it's pretty straight forward.

Erick's Tips and Advice
--> Tip 1: The "Store Logo" image (best resolution 350x140 pixels) is shown on every page, so I think it's best if you use the school's logo with perhaps the name of the school and the word "Webstore" also included in the graphic

--> Tip 2: The 2nd image is for the "Small Gallery" (best resolution 475x150 pixels), which is just to the right of the Store Logo. This graphic is also shown on every page, so it's equally as important as the Store Logo.

--> Tip 3: The 3rd and final image is the "Billboard Gallery" image (best resolution 630x300 pixels). It's the biggest graphic, but it's only shown on the homepage. I use this graphic to welcome the user to the Webstore and to point out some of the new features they may have not be aware of.

Julie's WebStore Tip - Messaging to Parents/Students

Tired of answering questions about how students and parents log into your WebStore? Have your IT person create a interim landing page on your school website so that when visitors click from your WebStore link they are taken to a the landing page that gives parents and students specific login instructions to your store and any other important information that you would like parents/students to know about the WebStore. From this landing page, parents/students can click to access your WebStore.

Here's an example - Elsinore High School. Click on the WebStore link on the left and see where it takes you!

Remember – Parents can create their OWN accounts on the new version of the store and attach their children to their account, so communicating to parents is one of the main keys to being successful with the WebStore.

If you need information to send home to parents about the new Webstore please let me know – creating this landing page will help you with informing parents of this new feature!
