Existing ActiveNet Users – Learn about our ActiveNet 9.1 release!

The recent release of ActiveNet 9.1 includes a number of exciting new ease-of-use features and new functionality.

Ease of use
--> Breadcrumbs - Breadcrumbs will show you where you are in the system, as well as where you came from - making it very easy to link back to the screen(s) you visited along the way.
--> Usability improvements to staff - side navigation controls

New Features
--> Private Lessons – Manage one-on-one sessions between participants and instructors with great flexibility. Includes the ability to let participants book their lessons online.
--> Support for Deferred Revenue Recognition - Organizations may elect to recognize revenue associated with an activity’s registrations only as the meeting dates pass. (This is just one example of how the new feature can be used)
--> More Robust Instructor Payroll Features - Payroll calculations can be based on regular activities, private lessons and/or manually-created payroll events (like a training session or anything else that an instructor might be paid for that isn’t already known by ActiveNet).
--> "Department" Item – Allows agencies to add another level to their internal organization as it is represented in the system. Similar to how Sites work now, users may be set up so that their permissions are specific to a given department, and so on.
--> Configurable "Usage Fees" – In the Activity Registration module, this feature offers a wealth of options for offering returning participants (and their families) preferential registration rates based on their registration history.
--> New Way to Combine Subscription and Interest Lists - Powerful new tool for delivering your new activity offerings to past participants, based on their interests and/or previous registrations. This new feature will help drive more business to your online registration pages and ease the burden on front-desk staff.

How to Make Your WebStore More Successful

WebStore Tip

Once you’re ready to upgrade, here are 6 quick tips on how to engage your students and parents with your WebStore:

  1. Frequently communicate and advertise online payments as the preferred payment method
  2. Use Active's email templates, posters and flyer to send and post around the school
  3. Encourage parents to create account logins
  4. Make items available to the general public and not just students and faculty (family and friends can take advantage of this)
  5. Send press releases to local papers – advertise in your school's paper
  6. Record a message on your school's voicemail system
