Textbook Tracking

Did You Know?

Did you know?
An average-sized school district loses between $100,000 and $650,000 each year in lost and damaged textbooks.

Solution
Schools can cut their textbook losses by half or more by simply implementing textbook tracking software.

As an educator you are already painfully aware of the tens-of-thousands of dollars your school forfeits each year in lost and damaged textbooks. Our textbook tracking module offers fast and efficient alternatives to paper/pen methods, spreadsheets, or crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. More importantly, our module manages the lifecycle of a textbook, from check-in to check-out, resulting in substantial ongoing savings.

Features:
--> Assign unique numbers to textbook for easier tracking
--> Use new or existing bar code labels for quick book allocation
--> Track student and teacher book assignments
--> Easy reporting features to view department, class, course, teacher and student names
--> Track the condition of textbooks from check-out to check-in
--> Assess and collect charges for lost and damaged books
--> Allow students to pay for lost textbooks online

Benefits:
--> Hold your students and teachers accountable and reduce expensive replacement costs
--> Save your school and district a significant amount of money
--> Limit students extra-curricular activities until debt is paid (optional)
--> Automate tasks that are labor intensive
--> Have accurate records, improved communication, and increased accountability

Our textbook tracking system helps generate substantial ongoing savings - plus it makes life much easier for everyone involved. To learn more about Active’s textbook tracking module, visit our Web site or call 1-888-543-7223.

School Fundraising Ideas

Are you looking for non-traditional ideas to fundraising? Tired of selling candy and gift wrap door-to-door?

Go Green!

Fundraise while Going Green!

Help improve the environment while raising money for your school. Get cash for trash, and teach students the importance of recycling!

--> Recycle household items for cash: water bottles and aluminum cans
--> Cash in your pennies: take your loose change to local grocery store redemption machines
--> Cell phones and printer cartridges: Collect old cell phones, and used printer cartridges – many recycling companies pay anywhere from .50 cents to $5.50 for higher end cartridges

With today’s technologies, fundraising can also be easier and more organized than ever before while being green. There’s no need to print anymore. Instead, send all communication online and utilize your school management software. Explore different web and school administration software programs that will help you efficiently lead your next fundraiser to success!

Michelle Russ, Senior Account Executive

Michelle Russ

Expertise:

I am a Senior Account Executive in the K-12 department working remotely from Monterey, CA. I work with school districts on the east coast providing solutions to help their schools efficiently manage their student activity accounts, track student fines, fees and purchases, simplify online registrations and educate them on the benefits of online transactions.

Just for Fun ...

I enjoy being on the water, competitively paddling outrigger canoes. I am currently taking time off the water while I am pregnant, expecting a little girl in November. In the meantime; I have been staying active, working out, hiking and spending quality time with my husband.
